Electric High Speed
Trytel is presently conducting a Broadband-over-Powerline (BPL) trial at the Ramada Inn and Conference Centre in Cornwall, Ontario. This technology allows guests of the hotel to check email and surf the web at broadband speeds over the hotel’s electrical system.
Electric High Speed is simple and easy to use.
| Contact the front desk of the hotel to pick up your modem.
|
Please ensure your computer is OFF before beginning the install. |
Plug in the supplied Ethernet cable to the BPL modem. Do NOT plug the Ethernet cable into your computer at this time. |
Plug in the supplied power pack to the BPL modem and into an electrical outlet in your room. 1
|
| When the indicators begin to flash in a random manner the modem has connected to the Trytel BPL system. |
With your computer still turned OFF, plug in the other end of the supplied Ethernet cable to your computer’s Ethernet connection point. |

|
You may now begin to surf the web and check your email using the Internet tools you would normally use.
|
